Stock brokerage AIB-AXYs Africa has partnered online trading services provider Scope Markets Kenya to offer its clients offshore products, including exchange traded funds (ETFs), fractional stocks and other global investment products.
The partners say the deal responds to the growing demand for broader and more flexible access to international securities.
The stock brokerage firm says it will leverage Scope Markets’ robust trading technology to provide its clients with a seamless experience and enable them to diversify portfolios with a variety of asset classes.
“Our clients deserve a diverse selection of investment opportunities and our partnership with Scope Markets Kenya is a key milestone in delivering on that commitment,” said Bansri Pattni, chief executive at AIB-AXYs Africa.
“This collaboration enables us to equip investors with the necessary tools to diversify their portfolios and reach their financial goals. We are excited to work alongside Scope Markets Kenya to deliver exceptional service and empower more Kenyans to engage actively in the financial markets.”
AIB-AXYS is part of Mauritius’ AXYS Group with the company forming following a merger between AIB Capital Limited and Apex Africa Capital Limited in mid-2020.
The Capital Markets Authority licensed firm has over a two-decade experience in the securities market and its core services comprise stockbroking, fixed income services, derivatives and corporate finance.
The firm was awarded the top derivatives broker in 2023 by the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE).
Scope Markets is meanwhile a licensed CFD broker which offers retail and institutional trading services, including access to global markets.
A CFD broker or contract for difference facilitates trading in CFD contracts, which are financial derivatives that allow traders to bet on the price movement of various assets without owning them.
“As we continue our mission to democratise access to financial markets, this partnership with AIB-AXYS Africa marks an important milestone,” said Kenneth Waiganjo, chief executive at Scope Markets Kenya.
