Kenya is preparing to administer a Covid antiviral pill Remdesivir to treat Ebola patients under a compassionate-use programme, even as doctors investigate whether the drug can aid recovery from a rare strain of the virus called Bundibugyo for which there are no approved vaccines or treatments.
